The “circular dance of fashion,” Round and round went the carousel with models descending one at a time, in sweet 1960’s couture inspired frocks in all manor of pretty pastels. Despite the lavish setup the craftsmanship and construction of the clothes prevailed and is clearly visible in every hyper-adorned dress, blouse and skirt with miles and miles of broiderie anglaise in shades of sugary sorbet with exaggerated Peter Pan collars. Stiff organza layered over ostrich feathered dresses helped to tone down the feathers and created an irresistible dreamy effect.
